More Than 25 Essential Businesses and  Restaurants with Takeout and Delivery Services Open in Olney-Sandy Spring Area During COVID-19 Health Crisis

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, April 1, 2020

More than 25 essential businesses—including four grocery stores—and restaurants offering takeout and delivery services are open in the Olney-Sandy Spring area during the COVID-19 health crisis. Dine-in restaurant service throughout Maryland has been banned during the crisis by order of Governor Larry Hogan.

The list of businesses and restaurants currently open in the Olney area was compiled by the Olney Chamber of Commerce. The list can be found at www.OlneyChamberMD.com.

"During this difficult period, the Olney Chamber of Commerce ‘Shop and Dine Local’ program is more important than ever,” said Olney Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jon Hulsizer. “All businesses and residents in the greater Olney-Sandy Spring area are affected. One sure way to show support is by patronizing local restaurants. And don't forget how much a gratuity helps these hard-working restaurant workers."

A list of restaurants throughout the County that remain open during the crisis can be found at the MoCoEats website at https://visitmontgomery.com/restaurant-directory/
