Today's guests will share information about face coverings, renters' rights, the small business emergency grant application process and more
ROCKVILLE, Md., April 17, 2020—Luis Martinez, outreach coordinator with the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services; Ivan Eloisa, program manager with the Department of Housing and Community Affairs; and Daniel Parra, director of business diversity and inclusion with the Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC), will be the featured guests on En Sintonía con El Concejo del Condado de Montgomery (In Tune with the Montgomery County Council), airing today at 2 p.m. on Radio America (WILC 900AM). Luis Martinez will share information about the county and state directives requiring face coverings in supermarkets, pharmacies, retail stores and public transportation. Ivan Eloisa will discuss renters’ rights and financial assistance for renters who are experiencing hardship due to the COVID-19 emergency. Daniel Parra will share information about how business owners can apply for grants through the Public Health Emergency Grant program, which is designed to benefit for-profit and nonprofit businesses with 100 employees or fewer.
The Montgomery County Council and Radio America have entered a partnership that provides the Latino community with key information on issues and programs. The partnership also provides a forum for residents to express views and ask questions. The partnership includes the weekly one-hour show each Friday on the Washington metropolitan area’s most popular Spanish language station. Lilian Mass is the show’s host.
Each week, the show features guests talking about important issues before the Council and provides information about programs offered by the County to help residents.
