Senior Planet Montgomery, a technology training program designed for County learners 60 and older, will host a “Virtual Town Hall for Seniors” featuring Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and County Council President Sidney Katz from 6-7 p.m. TODAY, Wednesday, June 3. The meeting, which will be available on Zoom video conferencing, will provide an opportunity to ask questions and address issues about senior-specific programs and the COVID-19 health crisis. Due to high demand, the meeting also will be televised live on County Cable Montgomery.

To participate in the meeting, advance registration is required. Registration can be done at https://seniorplanet.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJYsceiurjouG9Fwdi8Tjp_kTSEkBIju5lnw or https://bit.ly/2U3ooDP.  Montgomery County residents can view the meeting live with closed captioning on County Cable Montgomery (CCM) by tuning to Comcast Channel 6 or 996 HD;  RCN Channel 6 or 1056 HD; or Verizon Channel 30.

Questions can be submitted ahead of the meeting with the registration form. In addition, participants can record themselves asking a question on video and submit it to mocoinfo@seniorplanet.org.

Those wishing to participate will not need to have a Zoom account in advance.

Those new to Zoom can join the town hall early. Starting at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, there will be a drop-in "Zoom test." The time will be provided so inexperienced Zoom users can test their connections and receive assistance on using Zoom's features.
