Council President Katz to host seventh weekly business and economic development briefing on Zoom, Friday, June 19 at 12:30 p.m.

ROCKVILLE, Md., June 17, 2020—Montgomery County Council President Sidney Katz will host the seventh installment in his ongoing series of virtual business briefings for County residents on Friday, June 19 at 12:30 p.m. The briefing will take place on the online video communications platform Zoom. 

Council President Katz will be joined by Brendan and Bailey O’Leary, owners of True Respite Brewing Company in Rockville, who will discuss the nationally recognized app they developed for area breweries to sell craft beer for delivery or pick-up throughout Maryland, and Shannon Gorman from Gorman’s Garments & Gear in Olney, which is a local supplier of personal protective equipment including #MarylandStrong masks.

“I’m pleased to be joined by members of our local business community who are doing innovative things to uplift our County and our region during this incredibly difficult time,” said Council President Katz. “Now more than ever, we all must work together to find solutions to the challenges that lie ahead.”

Residents will also have the opportunity to submit questions in the Zoom chat during the question and answer portion of the briefing. Residents must register ahead of time by emailing Councilmember.Katz@MontgomeryCountyMD.Gov to participate. Residents will receive the Zoom call information by email when they register.
