Press Releases - Department of Transportation

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, July 8, 2020

Beginning on or about July 13, Montgomery County contractors will begin restoring Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) Parking Garage 11’s facade on the Old Georgetown Road side. As a result, the Old Georgetown Road entrance and exit lanes will be closed for up to the first five days of construction to enable the building of scaffolding. During that time, access and egress will only be available on the Woodmont Avenue side. Once scaffolding is erected, the Old Georgetown Road driveway will reopen to one-way traffic. The direction of traffic will be in-bound during the morning and out-bound during the evening. The one-way traffic status will remain in place until the facade restoration is completed in mid-September.

Garage location:

7730 Woodmont Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20814
Entrances: Woodmont Ave. & Old Georgetown Rd.
