Ride On’s Executive Administrative Assistant, Nikkia Carver Recognized for Outstanding Service

For Immediate Release: Monday, July 27, 2020

Every week, Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and Chief Administrative Officer Andrew Kleine recognize County employees who are “High Risers” -- those who have risen to the challenge of the COVID-19 health crisis. The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is very proud that Executive Administration Assistant NikKia Carver has been recognized.

Since the beginning of the emergency response, Carver has been instrumental in managing communications and supporting the Division of Transit’s operations as it rapidly adjusted to changing conditions. Carver has worked diligently with County staff to keep residents informed of service changes. She has been instrumental in assisting frontline bus operators by identifying limited but essential resources to meet their changing needs. To keep buses operating, Carver led the Division’s efforts to provide meals to transit operators in the initial stages of the COVID health emergency.

“Nikkia has been an outstanding employee,” said Transit Division Chief Dan Hibbert. “During this health emergency, she has shown even greater initiative, drive and flexibility to ensure that both our customers and employees receive the very best services during these challenging times.”
