Maryland Deaf Culture Digital Library – OverDrive

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, September 2, 2020

Montgomery County Public Libraries, in partnership with The Maryland Deaf Culture Digital Library (Maryland DCDL), a program of the Maryland State Library Agency, has transitioned to an individual partnership with OverDrive to improve the collection access and browsing experience for library users.  

This enhanced collection features eBooks and audiobooks geared towards both children and adults who have an interest in fiction and non-fiction books related to American Sign Language, Deaf Culture, Deaf Literature, Deaf History and Literature, and biographies. In addition, there are over 140+ streaming videos in American Sign Language with voice over narration for children and families. These videos range from classic children’s stories to rhymes and songs.
