At an upcoming virtual public hearing, residents will have an opportunity to present oral and/or written comments concerning the abandonment of two sections of public right of way known as Ellsworth Drive in downtown Silver Spring. The Applicants, represented by Miles & Stockbridge P.C., are seeking a limited abandonment of the road to restrict non-emergency vehicular access, in connection with their plan to revitalize, expand, and upgrade the public use spaces and amenities located within Downtown Silver Spring.
The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold the virtual public hearing on Monday, September 14 beginning at 12:00 p.m. on the internet-based platform Zoom. Registration online is required to ensure participants receive an electronic invitation to the hearing.
