ROCKVILLE, Md., Nov. 4, 2020—On Friday, Nov. 6 at 12:30 p.m., Montgomery County Council President Sidney Katz will host the next installment in his ongoing series of virtual business briefings for County residents on the online video communications platform Zoom. These business and economic development briefings, which Council President Katz started during the COVID-19 public health emergency to help businesses, nonprofits and residents navigate the pandemic and economic recovery, will be held on the first Friday of the month going forward.
Council President Katz will be joined on Nov. 6 by Ash Shetty, director of the Montgomery County Office of Procurement, and Grace Denno, division chief, Montgomery County Office of Procurement, to discuss the County’s procurement process and how it has been altered to promote partnership with local businesses.
“I began these business and economic briefings as a way to share vital information with local businesses, County nonprofits and others who are navigating the economic and financial complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Council President Katz. “I look forward to continuing it into next year, and invite you to join me for the next briefing as we delve into the role Montgomery County’s Office of Procurement plays in our economic vitality.”
