MCDOT Announces Holiday Schedule for Thanksgiving Day November 26
For Immediate Release: Monday, November 23, 2020
MCDOT will observe the following holiday schedule for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26:
- County offices – closed.
- Ride On/ Ride On extRa / Flash Service – Operates on a Sunday schedule.
- Ride On Flex – Not in operation due to health crisis.
- Metrorail and Metrobus – Information available at wmata.com/about/news/Thanksgiving-2020.cfm.
- MARC Train and Commuter Bus – Information available at mta.maryland.gov/thanksgiving-day-service
- TRiPS Commuter Store at Silver Spring Transit Center – closed.
- TRiPS Mobile Commuter Store – closed.
- Parking at Montgomery County public garages, lots and curbside meters - Free.
- MCDOT Shared Street’s program – In coordination with Montgomery Parks’ Little Falls Parkway, Arlington Road will be closed to vehicles and open to pedestrians and cyclists starting on Wednesday, November 25 at 12 p.m. through Sunday, November 29 at 4 p.m. This will be the last closure of the season for Arlington Road.
