ROCKVILLE, Md., Jan. 29, 2021—Council President Tom Hucker and Maryland Congressman David Trone (MD-06) will hold a media briefing on Monday, Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. to discuss the impact of the new Biden administration’s policies and priorities on the County and the state of Maryland.
Rep. David Trone, a newly appointed member of the powerful House Appropriations committee, will share insight on the Biden administration’s national vaccine rollout plan, plans to ramp up vaccine production, and COVID recovery and relief efforts, including what to expect in additional federal relief for families and businesses. Rep. Trone represents Maryland’s 6th District, which includes parts of Montgomery County. In addition to the Appropriations Committee, he sits on the Joint Economic Committee, which reports and advises on the current economic condition in the country.
The duo will also discuss what federal aid will be coming to state and local governments and how that will impact Montgomery County and its residents.
