Weather-related Closures of Montgomery County Government Facilities

For Immediate Release: Saturday, February 13, 2021

Due to inclement-weather conditions, Montgomery County Government announces the closure of County Recreation (REC) and County Public Library facilities (MCPL).

The following closures and cancellations are in effect -

REC Closures:

• All Montgomery County Recreation aquatic facilities will close at 2:30 p.m. 

Aquatic facilities will reopen at 10 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 14. Weather conditions will be monitored, and updates will be made if necessary. 

MCPL Closures:

• Marilyn J. Praisner Library / Closed
• Olney Library / Closed
• Maggie Nightingale Library / Closed
• Chevy Chase Library / Closed

All other MCPL locations will close at 3 p.m.
