Virtual Town Hall for Asian American Community on COVID-19 Vaccine to be Held on Tuesday, Feb. 23

The Montgomery County Office of Community Partnerships and the Asian American Health Initiative of the County’s Department of Health and Human Services will host a virtual town hall meeting for the Asian American community on the importance of getting COVID-19 vaccines. The meeting, via Zoom, will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23.


The town hall meeting will be joined by County Council Vice President Gabe Albornoz; Raymond Crowel, the County’s director of the Department of Health and Human Services; community physicians Mahesh Ochaney and Mo-Ping Chow and Jasmine Vinh, acting program manager for the Asian American Health Initiative. The town hall meeting will be moderated by Hina Mehta, the steering committee vice chair of the Asian American Health Initiative.


The community conversation will provide the latest information on the vaccine rollout plan for the County. It will provide details on the order currently being implemented regarding priority groups for vaccinations. The meeting also will provide Asian American community members with a forum to have their questions answered directly by public health representatives and community physicians.
