Discussion will include Montgomery County's infrastructure and transportation priorities, the County’s operating budget, the new mass vaccination site in Germantown and recent Council hearing with MCPD and MCPS
Rockville, Md., April 9, 2021— On Monday, April 12 at 11:30 a.m., Council President Tom Hucker will be joined by U.S. Representative Anthony G. Brown (D-Md. 4th District) for a media briefing to discuss Montgomery County’s infrastructure and transportation priorities, followed by a discussion of the Council’s ongoing review of the County’s Fiscal Year 2022 Operating Budget.
Council President Hucker will also discuss the Council’s tour of the County’s first COVID-19 mass vaccination site located at Montgomery College in Germantown, as well as the Council hearing with Police Chief Marcus Jones and Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Jack Smith on the Jan. 2020 interaction between police and the five-year-old student in Silver Spring. He will also share details on the implementation of his window guard bill, which was enacted by the Council on April 6.
Montgomery County Health and Human Services Deputy Health Officer Dr. James Bridgers will join the media availability and provide a public health update and information on vaccination efforts.
