Discussion will also cover upcoming Council matters and vaccination efforts
On Monday, April 26 at 11 a.m., Council President Tom Hucker and Council Vice President Gabe Albornoz will address the recent guilty verdict in the Chauvin case, discuss the Council’s ongoing efforts to improve police accountability in Montgomery County and address school safety.
The duo will also cover the Working Families Income Supplement Bill that was introduced by lead sponsors Council Vice President Gabe Albornoz and Councilmembers Nancy Navarro and Sidney Katz to expand financial assistance for County residents. The bill will expand the County’s Working Families Income Supplement to include additional taxpayers, such as those with Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers, who now qualify for the State’s Earned Income Tax Credit. They will also discuss the latest Board of Health regulations.
Montgomery County Health and Human Services Deputy Health Officer Dr. James Bridgers will join the media availability and provide a public health update and information on vaccination efforts.
