MCDOT to Hold May 4 Virtual Public Hearing About Proposed Abandonment of Sections of Liberty Mill Road in Germantown

For Immediate Release: Friday, April 30, 2021

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a virtual public hearing on Tuesday, May 4 beginning at 1 p.m. about the proposed abandonment of sections of Liberty Mill Road in Germantown. Residents will have an opportunity to present oral and/or written comments.

The Applicant, represented by Lerch, Early & Brewer, Chtd., seeks the abandonment of sections of the road that fall outside of a proposed realignment of Liberty Mill Road, constructed in connection with the relocation of Germantown Road/MD 118, shown in the below exhibit.

The abandonment will support the applicant’s redevelopment of the surrounding area, including the re-alignment and connection of Liberty Mill Road to Leaman Farm Road.

Online registration is required to ensure participants receive an electronic invitation to the hearing.
