Construction Work at Future 7700 Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda Will Close Lane of Old Georgetown Road Daytimes on Weekdays Through End of 2021

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, May 4, 2021

Construction work for a new building at 7700 Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda will close one lane of Old Georgetown Road from Edgemoor Lane to Commerce Lane during daytime hours on weekdays through the end of 2021.

Davis Construction is overseeing the work that will occupy the far-right lane on Old Georgetown Road (MD 187). The lane closures will occur weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The construction company expects the work will be completed by Dec. 31.

Traffic Engineering Services (a private contractor for Davis Construction) will install work zone signage and assist with the pedestrian detour at the location. The work includes demolition of the stairs and concrete bench in front of the building, the removal of planters and the building’s railing.
