Summer Read and Learn Program to Be Held at Montgomery County Public Libraries Beginning June 16

For Immediate Release: Friday, June 11, 2021

The Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) Summer Read and Learn Program is scheduled to begin on June 16. This year’s theme is “Tails and Tales.”  Children and teens are invited to sign up online or at any branch. 


MCPL’s Summer Read and Learn program offers children and teens a chance to fill their summer with great books, fun learning activities, and virtual events. 


Kick off events for this year include:


Participating is easy:

  • Sign up (or log in) online beginning June 16.
  • Earn online badges to complete the program.
  • (Optional) Print an Early Literacy or Elementary School Age game board at home or pick one up at your local library.
  • Take our survey when you've finished the program. Your voice counts!


The Summer Read and Learn Program, which runs through August 31, is generously sponsored by Friends of the Library, Montgomery County, Inc.
