Council President Hucker and Vice President Albornoz hold media availability on June 21 at 12 p.m. to discuss legislation on policing, financial relief for nonprofit organizations and the County’s new pilot program to promote safer roadways

Rockville, Md., June 18, 2021—On Monday, June 21 at 12 p.m., Council President Tom Hucker and Council Vice President Gabe Albornoz will hold a media availability to discuss legislation on policing, grants that will be available for nonprofit organizations with initiatives that align with minority entrepreneurship, STEM education, research and innovation or small-scale manufacturing through the Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) and the County’s new “20 is Plenty” pilot program to promote safer roadways.

The duo will also address Gov. Hogan’s lift of the COVID-19 state of emergency, and Deputy Health Officer Dr. James Bridgers will join the media availability to provide a public health update.

The media availability will be held via Zoom and is for credentialed members of the media.

The public can watch on the Council’s Facebook page (@MontgomeryCountyMdCouncil).
