Flooding from Hurricane Ida and COVID-19 Vaccinations Will Be the Focus of “En Sintonía con el Concejo del Condado de Montgomery”, Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. on Radio America

ROCKVILLE, Md., Sept. 9, 2021 —The featured guests on this week’s En Sintonía con El Concejo del Condado de Montgomery (In Tune with the Montgomery County Council) will include Patricia Barrientos, office services coordinator at the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS); Dr. Anna María Izquierdo, executive director at Care for Your Health, Inc.; Dr. César Palacios, executive director at the Clínica Proyecto Salud; and Mynellis Negrón, director of market and strategic partnerships for the Communications Shop. The show will air tomorrow, Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. on Radio America (WILC 900AM).

In the first segment of the show, the guests will discuss the recent flooding that impacted the County as part of Hurricane Ida’s storm remnants, as well as the County’s efforts in emergency response and preparedness. In the second segment, the guests will reaffirm the importance of COVID-19 vaccinations ahead of the start of fall. They will also discuss the vaccination levels in the County and talk about eligibility for the booster shot.

The Montgomery County Council and Radio America have entered a partnership that provides the Latino community with key information on issues and programs. The partnership also provides a forum for residents to express their views and ask questions. The partnership includes the weekly one-hour show each Friday on the Washington metropolitan area’s most popular Spanish language station.

Andrea Sarralde and Liliana Henao are the hosts of this week’s show and will continue to co-host the shows this fall. Lilian Mass has accepted a new position with Telemundo 44 Washington.

Each week, the show features guests talking about important issues before the Council and provides information about programs offered by the County to help residents.
