Rockville, Md., Jan. 1, 2022—The Montgomery County Council issued the following statement after learning that County Executive Marc Elrich tested positive for COVID-19.
"We wish County Executive Marc Elrich a full and swift recovery from COVID-19. We have been assured that he is in good spirits and will continue to perform his responsibilities as County Executive while recovering from the virus at home.
"We also want to encourage all residents to get their COVID-19 booster as soon as possible to help contain this latest COVID-19 surge. Montgomery County's high vaccination rate is essential to mitigating the impact of the virus and helping our community get through this phase of the pandemic."
