For Immediate Release: Tuesday, January 11, 2022

Montgomery County’s Department of Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) will temporarily reduce hours at all 26 of its retail stores beginning Wednesday, Jan. 12, due to COVID-related staffing shortages. The temporary business hours will be noon-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Sunday hours will remain noon-5 p.m.

“Montgomery County appreciates its outstanding workforce more than ever,” said ABS Director Kathie Durbin.  “ABS remains committed to excellent customer service, and we look forward to returning to regular hours once this current wave has passed.”

The Poolesville store, which closed on Monday and Tuesday due to staffing shortages, will reopen on Wednesday, Jan. 12.

A complete list of all ABS stores, including locations, hours and phone numbers, can be found at https://montgomerycountymd.gov/ABS/stores/.
