For Immediate Release: Thursday, January 13, 2022
The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is now accepting applications for the Fiscal Year 2023 (FY23) Community Services Grants Program.
Grants of up to $10,000 are available to support health and human service projects that promote a safe, healthy, and self-sufficient community. The Department will review and evaluate all submissions, but preference will be given to applications that directly contribute to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The deadline for submission of the FY23 applications is Friday, Jan. 28 at 5 p.m. Application materials are available on the DHHS website under the subheading, “Hot Topics.”
“These grants are about empowering neighbors to help neighbors,” said DHHS Director Dr. Raymond Crowel. “At a time when the needs in our community have been greatly exacerbated by the pandemic, I am proud to know that these dollars will go a long way to strengthen our County’s robust social safety net.”
This program provides one-time only grants to nonprofit organizations serving Montgomery County residents and provides reimbursement to funded organizations for approved equipment and other capital purchases. Funded expenditures must occur between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023.
