Early Bird Registration is ending Wednesday, March 9, for the ninth annual Montgomery County Energy Summit, which will take place in-person (and virtually) on Tuesday, April 5, at the Silver Spring Civic Building and fully virtual on Wednesday, April 6. Added to the original lineup is the Summit’s first-ever “Electric Vehicle Ride and Drive Event," which will be held on April 5.
The Energy Summit will be hosted by the County Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) in partnership with the US Green Building Council National Capital Region (USGBC NCR).
New for this year, USGBC and DEP welcome DARCARS Automotive Group as the 2022 Energy Summit’s exclusive automotive sponsor. DARCARS Automotive Group will host the Electric Vehicle Ride and Drive Event on April 5. The event will feature the newly released Polestar and other electric vehicle models.

The Energy Summit offers cutting-edge education on the latest trends in green building, energy efficiency, renewable energy and related commercial, multifamily and residential topics in Montgomery County.
Early bird admission for two-day access to the in-person and online event is $75 per person. Regular ticket prices are $85 for in-person and online attendance. All education sessions will be submitted for GBCI and AIA continuing education credits.
Regular registration starts on March 10 and runs through the morning of April 4. Limited day-of tickets will be available at the Civic Building on April 5.
A limited number of scholarships to the Energy Summit are available for students, emerging professionals and community members to attend at no cost. Scholarship applications are available on the Energy Summit website and due by Friday, March 18.
The Silver Spring Civic Building is located at 1 Veterans Place in Downtown Silver Spring. It is accessible from the Metro Red Line at the Silver Spring station. The Summit will be held from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. on Tuesday at the Civic Building, and from 8:30 a.m.-3:45 p.m. on Wednesday virtually. The Wednesday education sessions will be followed by an in-person networking event from 5:30-7 p.m. at The Pearl in Silver Spring hosted by The Tower Companies.
