Council President Albornoz to Hold Media Availability on Oct. 10 at Noon

Discussion will include latest crime data and efforts to recruit new police officers, public health information and a preview of the Council’s Hispanic Heritage Month Commemoration 


Rockville, Md., Oct. 7, 2022—On Monday, Oct. 10 at noon, Council President Gabe Albornoz will hold a media availability to discuss upcoming Council matters including the latest crime data and efforts to recruit new police officers and public safety employees, following Monday’s Public Safety Committee meeting.  

Council President Albornoz will also preview the Council’s ninth annual Hispanic Heritage Month commemoration, which he is cohosting with Councilmember Navarro, who instituted the Council’s multicultural commemorations. The commemoration will include a special video program highlighting Latina leaders in Montgomery County and a Council proclamation. 

Montgomery County Health and Human Services Public Health Emergency Preparedness Manager Sean O’Donnell will join the media availability to provide a public health update. 

The media availability will be held via Zoom and is for credentialed members of the media.  

The public can watch on the Council’s Facebook page (@MontgomeryCountyMdCouncil).
