Below are the Montgomery County Department of Transportation’s (MCDOT) and regional partners’ transportation-related schedule changes for the Thanksgiving holiday, Thursday, Nov. 24:
- MCDOT offices and depots - Will be closed.
- Ride On bus service - Will operate on a Sunday schedule. View schedules here.
- Flash rapid bus service - Will operate on a Sunday scheduled (Orange line only).
- Ride On extRa and Flex bus service - Not in service.
- TRiPS Commuter Store at Silver Spring Transit Center - Will be closed.
- TRiPS Mobile Commuter Store - Will be closed.
- Parking at Bethesda, Silver Spring and Wheaton public garages, lots and curbside meters - Will be Free. Parking fees will resume on Friday, Nov. 25.
- Metrorail - Will operate on a Sunday Holiday schedule, with no scheduled track work. The system will open at 7 a.m. and close at midnight. Off-peak fares will be in effect all day, and parking will be free at Metro-operated facilities. On Friday, Nov. 25, rail service will operate on a regular weekday schedule with normal fare and parking rates in effect.
- Metrobus - Will operate on a Sunday schedule. Customers should check bus timetables for details. On Friday, Nov. 25, bus service will operate on a regular weekday schedule with normal fare rates in effect.
- MetroAccess - Paratransit service will operate during the same hours as Metrorail and Metrobus. Subscription trips will be canceled unless the MetroAccess customer specifically requests to travel on this day.
- MTA Local Bus - Will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule.
- Marc Train - Will operate on a Saturday schedule on the Penn Line only. Download the Thanksgiving service flyer here.
- MTA Commuter Bus - Route 201 (Gaithersburg – BWI Business Dist.) will operate on a Weekend/Holiday schedule for Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25.
- MTA Transit Stores – Will be closed.
