Montgomery County Public Libraries celebrates spring with a series of free musical programs at branches around the County that will feature a Latin jazz ensemble, a jazz pianist, a classic jazz quartet and a brass band that offers a range of musical styles, according to the following schedule:

Sabroso Latin Jazz Ensemble

The group entertains audiences with their high-energy performances of traditional jazz standards seasoned with an authentic Afro-Cuban and smooth Jazz instrumentation.

Dick Morgan Jazz Ensemble

Noted jazz pianist Dick Morgan has performed with artists such as Herb Ellis, Frank Sinatra, Joe Williams and Etta Jones during his 30-year career. His style echoes the brilliance of Count Basie and the complexity of Oscar Peterson.

Potomac Jazz Project

From regular appearances at The Kennedy Center Roof Terrace Restaurant, to the annual concerts at The Smithsonian Portrait Gallery, Potomac Jazz Project has been keeping the fun in jazz all over the DC metro area and the entire Mid-Atlantic.

Rockville Brass Band

The Rockville Brass Band performs a wide range of music, including military marches, orchestral transcriptions, jazz blues, and contemporary concert & brass band pieces.

The musical programs are funded by the Friends of the Library, Montgomery County MD, Inc.
