Suspect Sought for Sexual Assault in Germantown

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division – Homicide/Sex Section are investigating a sexual assault that occurred earlier this morning in Germantown.

At approximately 3:20 a.m., 5th District officers responded to an apartment in the 20000 block of Beaconfield Terrace in Germantown for the report of a sexual assault that had just occurred.  The preliminary investigation revealed that the 68-year-old female victim was asleep in her bed when the male suspect entered her apartment and sexually assaulted her.   After the assault, the suspect fled and the victim contacted police.

The suspect is described as a black male, 17 to 25 years old with a slight build.  He was last seen wearing a white tee-shirt, khaki cargo pants, and a black belt.
