Update: Suspect Sought for Sexual Assault in Germantown

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division – Homicide/Sex Section are continuing to investigate a sexual assault that occurred in Germantown.  Detectives now have a composite drawing of the suspect that they are ready to release.

On June 19 at approximately 3:20 a.m., 5th District officers responded to an apartment in the 20000 block of Beaconfield Terrace in Germantown for the report of a sexual assault that had just occurred.  The preliminary investigation revealed that the 68-year-old female victim was asleep in her bed when the male suspect entered her apartment and sexually assaulted her.  After the assault, the suspect fled and the victim contacted police.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20 years old with a slight build.  He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, khaki shorts, and a black “doo-rag.”
