Commerical Robberies in Rockville Investigated - Rockville Advanced Auto Parts

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division – Robbery Section are investigating an armed robbery of a Rockville Advanced Auto Parts store that occurred March 7, 2012.   

At approximately 7:00 a.m. on March 7th, 1st District officers responded to the Advanced Auto Parts store located at 15136A Frederick Road for a report of an armed robbery.  Investigation revealed the store manager and another employee were accosted shortly after opening the business.  The employees were threatened with a gun.  The suspects obtained an undisclosed amount of cash from the store, tied up the manager, and fled the store.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his 30’s, approximately 5’9” tall and wearing all black clothing. The second suspect is described as a black female in her 20’s wearing all black clothing.  Both are considered by police to be armed and should not be approached.

This is the second such robbery at this store since December, 2011.  In the first robbery suspect also tied up the employee and obtained an undisclosed amount of cash from the store.  Detectives believe these two robberies may be related.
