K9 Firearm Detector Dog Lila

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, March 27, 2012

Kudos goes to K9 firearm detector dog, Lila, who located all 4 pieces of a gun that had been stolen in a March 21, Wheaton, burglary.  On March 22, detectives attempted to arrest a suspect involved in the March 21 burglary.  The suspect ran from detectives and was observed discarding items from a backpack as he ran through yards.  Detectives believed that the suspect may have discarded the stolen gun so K9 Lila and her handler were called to the scene.  K9 Lila located all 4 pieces of the gun in various yards in the neighborhood.  3 suspects were arrested and charged in this burglary case. Throw that dog a bone!
