Media Advisory: Media Conference to Kick Off the Click It or Ticket Seat Belt Campaign and Child Safety Seat Compliance

WHERE:     Parking lot of Carver Educational Services Center, 850 Hungerford Drive, Rockville, MD

 

WHAT:       Chief Manger will kickoff the Click It or Ticket and child safety seat compliance campaign with enforcement by officers to follow

The Montgomery County Police Department, with the support of the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA), will join other law enforcement agencies nationwide for the 2012 Click It or Ticket seat belt campaign. During this campaign, police officers will emphasize the importance of wearing a seat belt and using appropriate child safety seats through education and enforcement.

At the kickoff event, media can cover police enforcement of seat belt and child safety seat laws beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Route 355 from the D.C. line to the Frederick County line.  Gaithersburg Police officers and Rockville City police officers will join Montgomery County police officers in this enforcement.
