For Immediate Release: Monday, May 7, 2012

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police 4^th District Investigative Section have been investigating a possible domestic abduction that occurred on Friday, May 4, in the Good Hope area of the County. Police asked the public to be on the lookout for the possible suspect, victim, and vehicle. On the evening of May 5, the victim contacted a family member who in turn notified the police department. The victim is currently receiving medical treatment for injuries at a local hospital. The Montgomery County Family Crimes Division is now investigating this incident. Anyone who may have observed the subject, victim, or vehicle on May 4 or has any knowledge of this incident is asked to call the Family Crimes Division at 240-773-5400. Callers may remain anonymous.

On May 4, he was last seen wearing a blue bandana and was not wearing a shirt

VEHICLE

Gold, 2006, Chevrolet Trailblazer with Maryland Tags, 3AM3261G. On May 4, vehicle was last seen toward Route 198 from the Good Hope area.

It was on May 4 at approximately 2:34 p.m. that police received a call from a witness in the 15700 block of Thompson Road who observed a female who appeared to be semi-conscious and was in a male subject’s Trailblazer. The male made claims to witnesses that he was taking her to a hospital and was seen headed northbound towards Route 198. Through investigation the female was identified as Sara Ann Schum, age 28, and the male was identified as Floyd “Boony” Powell, age 27. Schum and Powell were previously involved in a relationship and were seen together on that afternoon outside a residence in the 15700 block of Thompson Road.
