MCPD's Traffic Division to Walk Like MADD

For Immediate Release: Friday, May 11, 2012

This weekend, members of the MCPD Traffic Division will be participating in Walk Like MADD, a 5K fundraising walk for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).  MADD is a non-profit organization with a mission of stopping drunk driving, supporting the victims of this violent crime, and preventing underage drinking.



In 2012, Walk Like MaDD events will take place in 40 cities nation-wide, including tomorrow's event in Baltimore.  The activities will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Federal Hill Park in Baltimore's Inner Harbor.

The MCPD Traffic Division team, headed by Mark White, Sergeant of the MCPD Alcohol Initiative Unit, has set a goal of $1500.00 in support of MADD.
