Accidental Drowning in Potomac

For Immediate Release: Thursday, June 21, 2012

Yesterday, June 20, at approximately 5:25 p.m., police and Fire/Rescue responded to a residence in the 9700 block of Kendale Road in Potomac for the report of a drowning.

Preliminary investigation by the Major Crimes Division - Homicide/Sex Section indicated that family members returned home and found the 76-year-old male victim lifeless in the pool.  Despite life-saving efforts, the male was declared deceased at a local hospital.  The victim had a known medical condition.

At this time, there is no suspicion of foul play in this incident.
