Silver Alert Activated to Locate Critically Missing Man from Silver Spring

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, June 27, 2012

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police 4^th District Investigative Section are asking the public for help to locate a critically missing man from the 11300 block of Kenton Place in Silver Spring.  A silver alert has been activated through the Maryland State Police.

Charles Irving Griggs is described as an 82-year-old white male, 5’11” tall, weighing 250 pounds.  He has gray hair and hazel eyes.  He was last seen wearing a short-sleeved tan plaid button-down collared shirt, khaki pants, and brown deck shoes.  He has not been seen since approximately 9:30 last night in Frederick when he left there to return to his Silver Spring home.

He was driving a 2010 white Ford Fusion with Maryland tag 3AS0997.

Mr. Griggs is diabetic, has high blood pressure and is in the early stages of dementia.
