Concern for Missing Man

For Immediate Release: Thursday, August 16, 2012

The Montgomery County Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing man from Howard County, whose car was located on the Brighton Dam Bridge on Brighton Dam Road this morning.

At approximately 5:30 a.m. this morning, the vehicle of Kharon Hatorai Greene ("Torey") was located unoccupied on Brighton Dam Bridge in Brookeville.  Montgomery County Police have received information that indicates Greene may want to harm himself.  There is no indication of foul play at this time.

Greene, age 24, is described as an African-American male with a medium complexion.  Greene is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds.  He has no facial hair.

After Greene's vehicle was located, Montgomery County Fire/Rescue responded to the area and completed a search of Triadelphia Reservoir but did not locate the individual.  Montgomery County K9s were also called to the area.  Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) investigators were on scene and are assisting with the investigation.  The Howard County Police Department has been informed of the situation.
