Two Females Arrested for Assault at Lakeforest Mall

For Immediate Release: Monday, August 20, 2012

On August 18 at approximately 12:53 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Body Central Store in Lakeforest Mall located at 701 Russell Avenue in Gaithersburg for an assault in progress.

Officers arrived on scene and observed two females punching each other and wrestling on the ground.  Officers were able to separate the two females and place them in custody.  Approximately 25 people were in the store at the time of the fight, including friends and family of each of the females.  Additional units were called to the scene to control the crowd.  Fire/Rescue responded but both suspects declined medical treatment.  Preliminary investigation indicated that the two suspects were arguing over the last pair of pants in a particular size.

The two suspects have been identified as Andrea N. Williams, age 22, of the 300 block of Amberfield Lane in Gaithersburg and Ethelyn R. Gladney, age 21, of the 20100 block of Loading Rock Place in Montgomery Village.

Williams and Gladney were transported to the Central Processing Unit and charged with second degree assault, disorderly conduct, failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order, and disturbing the peace.  Both women were released on bond.
