Concern for Missing Silver Spring Woman

For Immediate Release: Saturday, September 1, 2012

Detectives from the 3rd District are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 34-year-old woman from Silver Spring.

Aster Solomon Gesesse, age 34, of the 800 block of Houston Avenue in Silver Spring, was last seen leaving her residence in a taxi on August 30.   Gesesse's destination is unknown.  Police and family are concerned for Gesesse's emotional well-being.

Gesesse is described as a black female, approximately 5' 5? tall and weighing 130 pounds.  She has long, brown hair and brown eyes.  Gesesse has a scar over her right eye.  The clothing Gesesse was wearing at the time of her departure from her home is unknown.

Anyone who comes into contact with Gesesse is asked to call police immediately.  Anyone with information regarding Gesesse's whereabouts is asked to contact the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
