UPDATE: Detectives Make Arrest in Acts of Vandalism and Theft in Damascus Region

Detectives of the Germantown Investigative Section have made an arrest in the  acts of vandalism and theft that occurred in the Plantations II neighborhood in the Damascus region of the county from September 1 to September 2 during the overnight hours.  Detectives obtained home video surveillance of three suspects attempting to open vehicle car doors in the neighborhood and released the video to the public and circulated the video to officers.

A Montgomery County police officer reached out to his contacts in the community and was able to identify one of the suspects in the video as Rodney Sylvester Hall, age 18, of the 12900 block of Summit Ridge Terrace in Germantown.  An arrest warrant was obtained by detectives for Hall, charging him with rogue and vagabond, theft $1,000 to under $10,000, and conspiracy to commit theft $1,000 to under $10,000.  Hall was arrested on September 14 and transported to the Central Processing Unit.  Hall has a court date of November 8, 2012.

Detectives continue to work to identify the two remaining suspects.  Detectives of the 5th District are asking anyone who has information about these crimes to please call Officer Bromley at 240-773-6249.
