Burglary and Theft from Vehicle in Olney via Unlocked Doors -Photographs and Video Released of Suspects

For Immediate Release: Thursday, September 27, 2012

Detectives of the 4th District Petty Crimes Unit are investigating a burglary, theft from vehicle, and use of a stolen credit card that occurred in Olney on September 4. Photographs and video of the suspects have been obtained in this case and at this time detectives  are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects.

In the early morning hours of  September 4, unknown suspects entered two unlocked vehicles in the unlocked garage of a residence in the 3000 block of Gold Mine Road and stole items to include credit cards.  The suspects then entered the home of the residence through an unlocked door (leading from the garage to the kitchen) and stole items from the kitchen.  Credit cards were used by the suspects in Rockville, Gaithersburg and Olney.  Detectives obtained video of suspects using one of the stolen credit cards at a gas station in Olney.

Police are again urging residents to lock their vehicle and garage doors (interior and exterior) as unlocked doors are easy targets for these suspects.

Detectives of the 4th are asking anyone who recognizes these suspects from the video or photographs or has information about the above mentioned crimes to please call the Petty Crimes Unit at 240-773-5476.  Callers may remain anonymous.
