Detectives Seeking Help in Identifying Attempt Strong-Arm Robbery Suspect

Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in an attempt strong-arm robbery in Silver Spring.

On Tuesday, September 11, at approximately 12:49 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the 11600 block of Lockwood Drive for the report of a strong-arm robbery.  Investigation revealed that the adult female victim was followed off of a Metrobus by a suspect who strongly resembles the below composite.  The suspect grabbed the victim around the neck and stated, “Give me your necklace.”  The victim screamed and fought off the suspect.  The suspect ran towards Stewart Lane without obtaining any property.

Today, detectives are releasing a composite of the suspect.  Anyone who has information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the 3rd District Investigative Section at 301-565-5835.
