Detectives Release Photographs of Suspect in Montgomery Village Gas Station Robbery

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division – Robbery Section continue to investigate a commercial armed robbery that occurred on November 5 at a Liberty gas station in Montgomery Village.  Today, detectives are releasing photographs of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

On November 5 at approximately 6:34 p.m., 6th District officers responded to the Liberty gas station located at 19205 Watkins Mill Road in Montgomery Village for the report of a commercial armed robbery.  Investigation revealed that the suspect entered the front door of the business, displayed a handgun, and then placed the handgun to the employee's back as the suspect ordered the employee to a corner.    The suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register and then removed money from the employee's wallet (located in the employee's pants pocket).  The suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’9? to 5'11" tall, weighing approximately 230 to 260 pounds, with a mustache.  The suspect was wearing a black, nylon North Face Jacket (with a hood), black, nylon pants, and black boots..
