For Immediate Release: Saturday, November 17, 2012

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police 4th District Investigative Section are investigating an armed robbery of a person that occurred on November 15 at an ATM in Colesville.  Detectives are releasing photographs of the suspect and are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect.

On November 15 at approximately 8:33 p.m., officers responded to the Citibank located at 13440 New Hampshire Avenue in Colesville for the report of an armed robbery that just occurred.  Investigation indicated that a 48-year-old male, accompanied by his four-year-old daughter, were using the ATM in the vestibule of the bank.  The suspect entered the bank vestibule and approached the victim from behind.  The suspect displayed a handgun, forced the gun into the victim's back, and demanded that the victim remove an undisclosed amount of cash from the ATM.  The victim complied with the suspect's demands and the suspect removed the money from the machine.  The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot towards Randolph Road.

The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build and facial hair.  The suspect was wearing a light blue sweatshirt (with hood), dark pants, and a black knit hat.
