Concern for Missing Silver Spring Man

For Immediate Release: Sunday, November 25, 2012

Officers and detectives from the 2^nd District are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a critical missing person.  Mr. Albert Dixon Powell, of the 8500 block of Sundale Drive in Silver Spring, was last seen leaving his home at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon.  Mr. Powell suffers from dementia and police and family are concerned for his welfare.  Mr. Powell is described as a light complected African American male who is 75 years old with gray hair.  He is 5’6" tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a beige coat, a white striped shirt, and tan pants.   It should be noted that the photograph being released with this posting was taken approximately eight years ago.

Anyone who sees Mr. Powell or has information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Montgomery County Police at 301-279-8000.
