Police Investigate Death in White Oak as a Homicide

Detectives from the Major Crimes Division - Homicide/Sex Section are investigating the death of a 21-year-old male this afternoon as a homicide.

At approximately 3:45 p.m. today, officers from the 3rd District responded to an apartment in the 11400 block of July Drive in the White Oak area of Silver Spring for the report of a shooting.  Officers located the victim deceased with evidence of trauma to his body.

Detectives are investigating witness accounts that two black males were seen leaving the scene after the incident.  Detectives are working to confirm a more detailed description of the two males.
