Officer John Romack Honored at WRAP's 15th Annual Law Enforcement Awards

On Friday, December 14, Officer John Romack was a recipient of the  Washington Regional Alcohol Program's (WRAP) 2012 Law Enforcement Awards of Excellence for Impaired Driving Prevention.  These awards recognize officers who aggressively enforce DUI laws.  In 2011, Officer Romack made approximately 183 driving impaired arrests and has made over 4,000 driving impaired arrests in his career.

Officer Romack has been a Montgomery County Police Officer for 28 years and is currently assigned to the 1st District Traffic Unit.  He has spent most of his career enforcing impaired driving laws.  He is recognized as a DUI enforcement expert by his peers and Montgomery County prosecutors, defense attorneys, and judges.  Officer Romack is a life-long Montgomery County resident.  His father was also a career Montgomery County Police Officer.
