Concern for Missing Gaithersburg Woman - Silver Alert Issued

The Montgomery County Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing woman from Gaithersburg.

A Silver Alert has been issued for Bertha Mae Cook-Tyler, age 77, of the unit block of Oneill Drive in Gaithersburg.   Cook-Tyler was last seen at approximately 7:00 a.m. this morning when she drove a family member to the area of the 800 block of Muddy Branch Road in Gaithersburg.

Cook-Tyler is described as an African American female, approximately 5’03”  tall, and 180 pounds.  She was last seen wearing a green sweatsuit, a purple coat, and a fur hat.  Cook-Tyler may have memory issues.

Cook-Tyler was last seen operating a 2003 Mercury Sable, black in color, with Maryland license plate: JHC 592.
