Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance in Identifying High-end Theft Suspects

For Immediate Release: Friday, January 11, 2013

Detectives from the 2nd District are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects who stole from the Jimmy Choo store in Chevy Chase on January 9.

At approximately 12:00 p.m., units from the 2nd District responded to the Jimmy Choo store located at 5481 Wisconsin Avenue for a theft that had just occurred. Store employees stated that three suspects, all black males, quickly entered the store and stole several handbags having a total value of over $10,000.  The three suspects exited the store 10-15 seconds later and entered a red 4-door sedan that was waiting outside on Wisconsin Avenue, driven by a fourth black male, and made their escape.

Preliminary investigation revealed that three of the four suspects were seen on surveillance video at a nearby department store prior to the theft from Jimmy Choo.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about this theft or the suspects involved to contact the Bethesda Investigative Section at 301-657-0112, or the non-emergency line, 301-279-8000.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or leave a Crime Solvers tip here.  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this felony crime.
