Update: Detectives Investigate Gaithersburg Restaurant Robbery - Video Released

Detectives from the Major Crimes Division – Robbery Section continue to investigate an armed robbery of a business that occurred last night in Gaithersburg.

At approximately 8:10 p.m., units from the 6th District and Gaithersburg City Police responded to the El Meson restaurant located at 615 S. Frederick Avenue for a robbery just occurred.

Witnesses stated that two male suspects, one black male, one Hispanic male, opened the front door of the restaurant and discharged a fire extinguisher inside the business.  One suspect, who concealed his face, entered the business and grabbed the cash register which contained an undisclosed amount of cash before the two men fled the area on foot. No one was injured during the incident.
